Matt Rivera is the Senior Digital Producer for Meet the Press, based in Washington, D.C. He's worked at NBC News since September of 2010 where he has produced content for shows such as Nightly News and TODAY, along with original franchises for audiences on OTT, mobile and desktop.
Rivera joined NBC News from the Wall Street Journal where he covered the collapse of the financial industry. He led the production of the Journal's Page One video features and launched several original series when the paper moved into local coverage with the Greater New York section.
Prior to his work at the Wall Street Journal, Rivera was the co-founder of a New York City-based production company that created feature documentaries, reality television programming and corporate video. His work has appeared on A&E, the BBC and the Travel Channel.
Rivera has taught classes in video production and journalism as an adjunct professor at New York University, a guest lecturer at the Bauhaus-Weimar, and as a visiting instructor at the BBC’s Video Journalism program in Newcastle, England.
